NutriNote is a nutrition tracking app for iPhone. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is protected. The short version: your data stays on your device. NutriNote has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party services, and it does not send any data over the internet.
Everything you enter in NutriNote is stored locally on your device only:
None of this information ever leaves your device. It is not uploaded, synced, shared or sold.
The camera is used for two features, both optional:
You can use the app without granting camera access; the related features simply stay disabled.
If you choose a picture from your photo library, only the selected image is made available to the app and it is stored locally. The app never browses or uploads your library.
With your permission, NutriNote reads your active energy burned from Apple Health to adjust your daily calorie budget. This data is read on the device, used only for that calculation, and is never stored elsewhere, shared or transmitted.
Optionally, you can also turn on "Send data to Health". With that setting enabled, the food, water and weight you log in NutriNote are saved into Apple Health on your device, so your nutrition lives alongside your other health data. This is off by default, happens entirely on your device, and you can revoke access at any time in the Health app or in Settings.
This integration uses Apple's HealthKit framework only. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, is never shared with or sold to third parties, and never leaves your device. NutriNote does not use the CareKit framework and does not access health records.
You are in full control of your data. You can edit or delete any entry, product, meal or photo inside the app at any time. Deleting the app from your device permanently removes all data the app has stored.
NutriNote does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app is intended for general audiences and provides nutrition tracking for personal use only; it does not offer medical advice.
If a future version of NutriNote changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date revised before the change takes effect.
